The other week I had the most comical and funny interaction with a homeless lady. I was walking down the street with a friend and this wide eyed, overall wearing frantic looking lady stops me to ask if I had any money that I could give her. All I had was my camera and phone so I told her I couldn’t give her any money but asked if I could pray for her about anything.
She grabs my had, places it on her butt and says, “Pray for my hips and my legs. I can barely walk”. So we prayed for her and I asked her if anything had changed since we started praying and she said, “On a scale of 1-10 the pain is 100% gone. I got healed.” I responded with, “Praise the Lord, Jesus just healed you! That’s amazing!!!”
Completely unfazed by what just happened she turns and looks at my friend and says, “You got a 5?” He hands her money and then she looks at us and says to me, “Now don’t go letting him get run over by a car!” And then says to me, “And you don’t go flirting with boys.”
While her response and the whole interaction was super strange and funny, I think it’s still amazing that JESUS HEALS people!!!! Wahoo!!!! If you or anyone you know needs prayer for healing I would love to partner with you. Please comment the miracle you are praying for on this post!
Hi Ellie,
I recently found your blog while looking for new blogging friends to support by sending them a Liebster Award and I’ve nominated you because your photos are absolutely gorgeous (what type of camera do you use and any tips? I’m jusssst starting to look into upgrading from a very old point-and-shoot). Instructions on how to “accept” the award and pass it along can be found here: https://frommarblestopearls.wordpress.com/2016/04/10/and-the-award-goes-to/
Hope you have a great week!
Hey there!! WOW thank you so much for this amazing award. I feel so honored. I would love to give you any tips that I can offer. Do you have any specific questions? I use a NikonD7000. I’d recommend getting a used or refurbished camera from b&h cameras online store. That’s where I got mine and I’ve loved it!
Thanks! Is there any specific editing software that you use? I notice your colours are always so vibrant and well balanced, which I can’t quite seem to do with a digital camera. Honestly, I’m not much of a digital photographer – I use an old canon from the 70’s and do pinhole photography when I actually “care” to take photos so I hand develop those and that’s a whole different ballgame.
