I went road tripping to Oregon with some of my new favorite Pals last weekend. On our way home it was the most beautiful car ride of my life to date. It was rainy, cloudy, but the sun was setting and the beautiful bright colors of the sky contrasting with the green grass and mountains was just unreal. Not to mention the company was fabulous, the temperature was perfect and the music was bumping. Half way through the trip we saw this trip and of course we couldn’t help but pull over and dance in the rain. It was so much fun. It was one of those moments in life that felt absolutely perfect.
Some things that I learned this week. There seems to be a theme of “leadership”:
- Leadership is 90% what you do and only 10% what you say.
- Leadership requires consistency. You can’t just lead when you want or when there is a need. You have to lead all the time with your words and actions.
- If you are bossy it’s because you are only saying things, you aren’t following up your advice with actions
- I have been made a new creation through Christ when I accepted him into my life. That means that I no longer live from a place of striving to have grace and be better. Instead I live as the new righteous, holy creation that I now am.
