Happy Jay Day. It’s Jay’s (better known as my dad’s) birthday. We went hiking a few months ago and I forgot to post these pictures of our little trip but I’m glad I forgot now so that I could share them today instead. These pictures show Jay in his natural habitats. People love him. Probably because he is one of the most charming, like able, funny, hardworking people I’ve ever met. Despite his ability to charm anyone and communicate well, he enjoys spending a lot of time in the woods. I’m not sure if it’s because there he can enjoy nature (specifically trees, which if you know him you know he loves), the physical exercise, or because in the woods he gets to escape the never ending to do list he makes up for himself and that my mom gives him (another blog post for another day, sorry mom). Anyways, if you have never gone on a hike with him before, you should. It might be a little humbling because he will probably leave you in the dust, but he will also teach you about life, history and horticulture. In my very bias opinion, he is the best dad I could have ever asked for.

great shout out to dad. that is lovely, Allison, really. i loved my dad too. still do. i appreciate that. i’m sure Jay does too. š
