Have you ever had one of those moments when you thought of someone or something that you haven’t in a while and all of a sudden, they call you or you randomly stumble upon the thing you want in the store?
I had a moment like this recently.
A few weeks ago I was trying to figure out a way to organize a space in my house. I decided that I wanted a white dresser for this space to put some things in. It was such a small thought that it didn’t seem to warrant a prayer but I prayed about it anyways.
5 minutes later I was driving down the road and there on the side of the road right where I needed to park sat a brand new white dresser drawer. It had the tags still on it and a sign saying “take me” taped to the front of it. In total amazement, I immediately loaded it into the back of my car.
Some of you might be weirded out by the fact that I took a piece of furniture off the road, but to me, it was a SIGN from God. A sign that I later cleaned thoroughly…don’t worry 😉
It was a “sign” that told me that God cares about the big and the small things in my life. Now every time I look at the piece of furniture I think about God’s faithfulness.
I found God in a dresser drawer that day.
God works in the wildest and mysterious ways. He speaks to us through furniture, people, nature. However, He can get our attention and whenever we are willing to listen.
Trying to remember to pray specifically for little and big things and find Him in all of them. I hope that you join me in this journey.
