Golden Gate, Golden State

My last day in San Fran I went to see some of it’s most well known sights. They were all pretty epic.

First we went and saw The Painted Ladies. Otherwise known as the house where the TV show Full House was filmed. They are a representation of American architecture. They were painted in three or more colors so that it would embellish or enhance their architectural details.DSC_6899 DSC_6900

Alcatraz–The Famous Prison. The small island was developed with facilities for a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison, and a federal prison from 1933 until 1963.

And last but definitely not least, the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the mile-wide, three-mile-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Needless to say, it’s HUGE. I had no idea how massive it really was until I stood near it. I could never have imagined how large in scale it was based upon the pictures I have seen. It is truly an engineering marvel.
